  Well well, thing can be a bit different . They did't kill all Midjanites. Look at this:

  Maybe Moses and his buddies thought it was a really got act giving them 32000 virgins! They didn't seem to complain!

  If we cannot judge, the opposite could be true. If God was evil, it would be a good act draw away people from God. You made the assumption that Christ is the true light, but that is yet to be proven.

  I think it would be good for you to read what fundamentalist apologist say about the flood and the genocides in the old testament! I think you might get really surprized.

  anyway..I am happy to hear that you are not a litteralist/fundamentalist!

  No, TEC, this is a logical error. We colud make the same about Satan..one good act proves that he is not pure evil. Remember there is a saying in the new testament stating that "Satan is making himself appear as an angel of light" (this is a free translation from my language, english bibley may not have this wording).

  Besides, we cannot judge wether an action of God/ Satan is made of love or not, we can only observe if the consequenses of that act are good or bad.

  Then we have drastic examples, I don't now if you are a literalist, but literalist states that is was a good act making children drown in Noahs flood. Likewise that state that is was good coomanding the Israelitet to kill a lot of people that lived in the "promised land"!

  this is the question that came up in my mind.

  now dont get me wrong i know the dates from 607 - 1914 are rubbish, but how would you explain to a witness when they will automatically say, look at the momentus year 1914 was.

  that is evidence enough that 607 is correct!.

  Keep in mind that the year 1914 was i big failure from 1915 until the beginning of the 1930's. Then rutherford moved Chrits invisible return from 1874 to 1914.

  i am well aware that this thread could diverge into a discussion of the legitimacy of the watchtowers view of heavenly class and earthly class and what not.

  ... but that's not the thrust of my question.

  i just replied to a thread about going to memorial and started thinking how after jesus started out no one talked about actually doing it after the initial time.

  Crisis of Conscience ...should we sell the book or keep it?

  we have a copy of this book and are wondering if we should sell it...is it worth anything?.

  amazon says it's worth 20 dollars.

  will it ever get to be worth more if we keep hold of it?.

  I think that book is har to get. The publisher seems to be out of stock. So, I would say keep it.

  A lot of peoble are looking for that book. At least as far I know.

  sunday's wt study really opened some old wounds in my family.

  by age 13 i was faking illnesses just to get out of thursday and sunday meetings.

  i stopped attending altogether at age 17 and headed to college, never really looking back.
